KHAJURAHO DEITIES by Turiya Bruce Original work of art by renowned Byron Bay artist.Monotype and Mixed Media (gold paint) on paper(please note that this is not framed) It is one of the India Art Suite pieces that were inspired by Turiya s many visits to India. The Khajuraho tantric temple in India displays various deities in different tantric positions. This image is a symbol of the divine union between the masculine and feminine.This particular piece is the first state of Khajuraho Deities reworked with mixed media. This piece measures 87cm x 36.5cm ABOUT TURIYA BRUCE Turiya knew, at age six, that art could move people.This lit a flame inside of her heart. Turiya left a design career to travel to England and Europe, gallery hopping, before settling in Florence, Italy , where she studied and taught. She has had her own studio for the past 11 years where she has given herself full creative play and experimentation. Turiya currently lives in Byron Shire, Northern New South Wales, Australia which is an area becoming increasingly known for its fine arts and alternative creative culture.
